The silvopastoral system within the LIFE-Regenerate project

On November 20th, 2019, a technical meeting took place at the LIFE-Regenerate demonstration site, titled “The silvopastoral system realized within the LIFE-Regenerate project (LIFE16 ENV/ES/000276)”. The meeting was included within the Italian Rural Network initiatives on silvopastoral systems organized by the Italian Council for Agricultural Research and Analysis of Agricultural Economics (CREA). During the technical meeting and field visit the demonstrative plots of the project were presented and the first results of the experimental activities were discussed. The meeting represented a good occasion to discuss on potential and principal issues to apply innovative management practices in these systems in a context of normative (changing on Common Agricultural Policy) and environmental (climate change) changes.

The event was carried out also within the side initiatives linked to the Sardinian Forestry Year opening week, organized by the Forestry Regional Agency (Forestas) and the University Consortium of Nuoro, and within the preparatory activities towards the EURAF Conference that will be held in Nuoro in May 2020.
