Masterclass by Joel Salatin in the Dehesa "El Milagro"

On April 18 and 19, livestock farmer Joel Salatin, considered by many to be "the best farmer in the world" in his work, visited the Dehesa "El Milagro" (Alcañizo, Toledo) owned by Blanca Entrecanales, to offer a masterclass intensive about their work methods

Salatin explained to the attendees the working methods he uses at his farm Polyface (Virginia, USA) in which he follows an agricultural model based on the agro-ecological production of food, water management and soil fertility, the non-use of chemical fertilizers, the use of compost, multispecies rotational grazing, low cost mobile infrastructures, direct sales and personnel planning.

During the conference, a visit was made to the facilities of the Dehesa el Milagro, where many of the techniques mentioned are being put into practice.

The event was attended by José Luis Hernandez Mulas of Irnasa and part of the Life Regenerate project team, who were able to discuss practical aspects of the project with the rest of the audience.
